Is anyone looking for a distinguished, older gentleman to add to their family, a "silver fox" per say!?

Meet Sam! He is 7-8 years old. While he is no spring chicken, he is far from knocking on deaths door.  He is beyond his puppy years and energy, so he would do great with a companion instead of a playmate.  Sam adores children of all ages and seems to understand his size and weight around them. Cats and other small critters are a no-go as Sam will gladly take all their nine lives plus an extra one for good measure. 

Sam is a favorite at adoption events with his outgoing and quirky personality, but people seem deterred from adopting him due to his age.  He is not as gray as he appears in the pics, but I was told that using a bit of Just for Men on his muzzle was false advertising ?.  

Is there anyone out here who is looking for a low energy, very dog friendly, sneak into your closet to steal dirty socks, cuddlebug??? Lets go get Pina Coladas and get caught in the rain!
