Please welcome Axel Foley! Axel is a Catahoula Leopard Dog aka Gentle Giant. He is a magnificent, large boy who weighs 82 pounds and is approximately 4 years old. Axel was rescued by his foster angel from a very high kill shelter. To know Axel is to love him, he is a big baby who loves to give hugs and thinks he is a lap dog! Axel is super sweet, very smart, affectionate, and rides well in cars - preferably not in a crate for long distances. Axel loves spending time with his hooman and enjoys head, chest, and tummy rubs. He loves to run and play with other doggies! Axels perfect forever home will be with an active family or individual who has another well-adjusted pup that loves to play just as much as he does! As with all dogs, Axel will need regular exercise to feel his very best. He has not been exposed to cats or young children but should do just fine with proper care and training. Axel is crate and leash trained and doing excellent with his potty-training skills! He is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations and has been dewormed and microchipped.
