It’s hard to stand out in a litter of seven, but Hayworth has from the start. With her extra toes and long tail she’s more monkey than cat sometimes! A nickname (Monkey) that she even comes to when called no matter where in the house she is at. She’s one of the the first to jump at the wand toy or anything that crinkles at all, and is always up for wrestling with one of her siblings. After a good wrestle or chase game, she likes to curl up on the couch or cat tree for a nap or to just watch birds and squirrels out the window.

Hayworth absolutely loves attention, but doesn’t sit still long enough to be considered a lap cat just yet — there are too many toys to play with and spaces to investigate! At dinner time however, when all the other cats are excited to eat, she instead runs to the top of the cat tree and flops over for pets before she goes to eat her dinner.

Hayworth is okay with dogs, but still unsure about kids and their rambunctious ways. She’s good at following the house rules — staying off of kitchen counters and scratching only where she should.

Would you like to make Hayworth and maybe her sibs too, a part of your family? Please complete our online application found at: avacats.org/adopt/adoption-form.

Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.

Standard adoption fees are $225 for each kitten up to 12 months old. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.

All AVA kittens 12 months or younger must be adopted in pairs or go to a home with another young cat (3 years or younger). Kittens learn from each other how to behave, which helps them turn into well-adjusted adult cats. In general, paired cats have happier and healthier lives because they have a constant companion and playmate. Plus, it’s twice the fun for you, and half the work!
