China is a cautious girl who is quite shy at first in new situations or around new people. But with a bit of time and love (and treats) she has blossomed into a very sweet affectionate cat who loves being petted and hanging out with her foster mom. We think with a bit more treat incentives she may even become a lap cat. To be able to thrive, she needs a quiet home with a regular routine and a few good hiding spots where she can feel safe. We think she would be perfect for an older person or couple without kids. China has made friends with her foster siblings and would be ok with other cats. Shes smart and curious and an excellent companion without being noisy or demanding. She does love treats and wet food, and sometimes has a bit of fomo thinking maybe the other cats got something better in their food dishes so she has to try them all before going back to her own. She loves her cardboard scratcher and while active toys (wands) can sometimes be too overwhelming for her, she enjoys passive toys like balls hanging on strings that she can bat around herself and can be quite playful when shes feeling relaxed. We know that once she settles into her forever home, she will reward you will so much love and affection!
