Description:
Gretta is a female, shorthaired, gray cat who was approximately born on 6-4-2016. We dont know if shes been fixed or not. We scheduled a spay surgery for her just in case on 2-13-2024. The vet will let us know if shes already been spayed or not after they shave her belly and look for a tattoo.

I was gonna list Gretta as a plain ol Domestic Shorthaired cat, but Petfinder has a nifty image scanner and Petfinder said that Gretta is a Chartreux cat. I googled it, and yep, that looks like Gretta :)

Gretta was abandoned by her previous owners in a home. Then a new family moved in to the home, found Gretta, and graciously took her in as their own. ♥ But this family is growing, and they couldnt afford to have Gretta anymore, so they brought her to our shelter.

The people who had taken Gretta in as their own told us at her surrender that she gets along well with other cats, dogs, and children. We know that she is compatible with all adults. 12-28-23 Update: She hissed at all the cats in her new room (shes out of isolation!). This could be a "THATS MY PURSE! I DONT KNOW YOU!!" kind of thing (A+ if you recognize that reference xD) or she might really just not like cats. *shrugs* This is her first day out of isolation, so well keep you updated :)

Gretta likes her food. Shes not a grazer, but she doesnt INHALE IT like Bobbi Jo does. :P

She LOVES to schmooze, asks to be pet, and will sit in our laps to cuddle. :)

Gretta tested negative for FIV, feline leukemia, tested negative twice in a row for ringworm, is up-to-date on her vaccines, and is up-to-date on her flea and tick preventative. Shell be spayed and microchipped on 2-13-2024.

Shes currently eating Royal Canin Calm dry cat food that we purchase from Dakota Veterinary Hospital (It has a calming ingredient that helps cats deal with the fact that they have to spend most of their lives in a cage until theyre adopted).

Grettas adoption fee is $100.00 and we accept cash or check. If youre currently renting, we require a letter from your landlord stating that you may have Gretta where you live.
